As Jean-Paul entered the Vesuvius once more, he couldn't help to think that it was nice to be there once more. The women were dancing in an exquisite manner, and on the main volcano-scene was Velvet Velour, always putting her show.

Jean-Paul was, once again, amazed at Velvet Velour, by her beauty. He decided to just take his time when he entered and take in the sights, watching her dance in silence. It was not about the fact that she was half-naked, it was the movements of her body, those were the beauty of it.

She noticed him quickly, her smile shifting sligtly as she continued the show, and a bit more toward Jean-Paul. He felt fascination, all of different feelings in him, and yet, he managed to stay awake, aware of his surroundings. She showed him a booth on the side of the dancing place to wait for her.

Jean-Paul will make his way to the booth when the show is over, with a smile on his face. When he gets there he will wait for her to allow him to take a seat. "Bonsoir, Mademoiselle Velour"

"Monsieur Du Toit, always a pleasure." She advanced toward him, smiling, before resting a hand on his arm, and pushing him on the red velour couch. "What owes me the delight of your visit ? Or were you in need of seeing me perhaps ?"

"I wish I had come here just to see you" He stays silent for a moment, gazing up towards her while he does so. "But I came here because I must ask you about the Autarki who visited you"

Her face let out a saddened expression for a fraction of second, before she opened up more her eyes. "Yes, this one. What do you want to know ?"

"The Baron wants to know more about her... so... I guess... what did she tell you?"

"She wanted to know more of the city, of us, of what was happening. I didn't told her much, except the basics, and she rapidly told me she knew the lot I knew... I think she was actually a spy from the Camarilla, if you want to know it all..." She seemed to be restraining herself to speak about something, and yet wanted to tell him something... As if she was scared?

If something was scaring her, Jean-Paul was also scared. Instantly. "What's going on?" He will come closer to Velvet and whisper to her, but making to sure to try to look seductive in case someone comes by.

"The rude man the other day… The Camarilliste. He send me homeless people, by the dozens straight into my club. I feel disgraced and threatened…" She moved toward him, laying a hand on her leg, as she rose the other to her chin, fingers closed. Her eyes were wide opened in fear and doubt. "I’m afraid he is jealous of my position in the city and ultimately wants to take over me."

"Maybe we should let Isaac know about that... maybe he is testing us or provoking us" He seemed annoyed. "Did... anyone else threaten you?"

"I can’t go to Father anytime I’m afraid of something Jean-Paul… I… I was thinking you could maybe scare him off? You’re always so confident in what you do…" She looked away, embarrassed before adding in a lower voice. "But I understand you don’t want to."

"Well... actually, yes, I suppose there are ways I could try to scare him off... not by myself, of course, but it definitely is doable"

"You really would for me, my knight ?" She was visibly surprised, and a lot relief as she embraced him in her arms. Her soft hands taking head by the rear as she pressed her body against his in a warm hug. Her breath tingling on the side of his neck.

Of course he wasn't thinking about doing anything by himself. He was obviously going to go straight to Isaac Abraams to let him know about this provocation. But if he managed to get some sort of proof that Isaac wanted Dylan to stop messing around in Hollywood, it should be enough. "Yes, this is Anarch territory, we can't have a Harpy doing whatever he wants in your carefully built club..."

"Exactly. And even more a Harpy hostile as him. I'm so happy that I can trust you on this, Jean-Paul. I'll try to learn more about this Autarki if she passes by."

"Did she say anything about herself? How does she look like, and did she give any signs of what clan she might belong to? I mean, we have Auspex so I assume you saw something"

"She was in a black dress. Her eyes were behind sunglasses so I couldn't say much about them... And her... Her hair were also in a ravishing dark color."

"I had never seen someone like her before... Maybe she was of the Blue Bloods?"

"That's not how I'd describe a Ventrue if you asked me... if anything, it'd seem like a Tremere with all their Goth-ness, Ventrue dress to show other kind of power... did she have any accessories, maybe?"

She looked at him, perplex, pushing herself from his body. "I... I don't really remember. She wasn't as striking as you, sadly."

"Hm... and what did she do that make you believe that she was a spy? I assume she didn't give you a name either, did she?"

"She called herself... Miss Black. I think it's pretty obvious it's a code name."

"Seems like it... I hope this will be enough for Isaac..." He sighed deeply. "I really wanted to have a peaceful unlife and to focus on my movies here, you know?... but it seems like it's impossible"

She looked at him, silently, wondering. Her eyes were deep and mesmerizing. She layed a hand on his, pressing it sligtly. "Jean-Paul, how do you often find inspiration for your movies?"

"Depends... it's not something I find, it's something that simply comes to me... like... I don't know how to put it... how do you come up with new dances for your shows here?"

"From what I live, from what I experience. Don't you think you will not be able... To live fully if you don't expose yourself ? You're not... In the same temporality, and boredom can come quickly."

"But if I live too much I might die, and then... well, I won't be able to turn my experiences into art, and then what's the point?"

"It's the horror of our condition, my knight. We either live a risky life, or at least, one giving us inspiration, fuel for our art, or we soon extinguish and became..." Her voice became sad, almost angry. "Poseurs."

"That... makes sense..." He took a deep breath. "Perhaps you should do the same... I haven't seen you going out of your club much"

She gave him a wicked smile. "You have no idea."

"Are there any other interesting places in the city you'd recommend visiting? I mean... I doubt any of them really beat you club, but, maybe we could go somewhere else some day"

"Oh. There is this other baronny held by Therese Voerman, in Santa Monica. She has... A certain sense of art, and her sister is... Particular but an interesting woman." She thinked, tapping her chin. "I would say the Last Round is a must be for any Anarch, but it's not my style."

"I've been to the Last Round... not my cup of tea either, but I met someone rather interesting there... however I haven't been to Santa Monica yet, I heard the Pier there is quite an interesting sight"

"I liked it. You never went for a tour of the city at all ?"

"Not a full one, I've been mostly concerned about settling down for now, and learning about the domains... and besides, Hollywood looks pretty good"

"Hollywood is great... But it's only the scene. You need to see the backstage to really understand the art of this city."

"Well, why don't you give me this tour then? I assume you can take one night off"

"Jean-Paul... You're telling me about Sabbat, the Camarilla is on the verge... I can't just slip away from my obligations like that. Those... Difficulties needs to be adressed now or perish soon, and then we shall have all eternity."

"Then, be careful, and if someone tries anything else against you, let me know right away"

"I will. Thank you again, Jean-Paul, to help me that way. I'll find you a reward up to your galantery."

"Thank you, Mademoiselle Velour, for your kindness and your time" He will reach down to her hand and kiss it softly. "I will take my leave now"

She smiled at him, as she watched him go through the curtain of red velour.

END SCENE

Jean-Paul gathered some information about Miss Black, and found out that the Harpy had been provoking Velvet Velour. He promised to find out a way to solve that issue.
