Lucca was in front of a door, in a building in downtown LA. After going down stairs, after going through a number of indications and clues sent by different texts messages, he finnaly managed to find the place where Revana lived. It all started with a text message :

Good evening, pet. I'm in a dire need of compagny, what do you say to pay me a visit this night ? The first step is to find the red light of the eversinnning church on the road.

All leading to an engraved text on the ground, outside the Confession, light up by the light of the nightclub. Luca felt weird, almost... Happy to have the opportunity to see her again? It was a mixed feeling.

Luca took a breath to steady himself. Odd how that still worked, even though his lungs were dead. He stood outside Revana's door, wishing he could drink alcohol. Pretty girls were intimidating, even when they weren't supernatural creatures of the night. Knock on the door, pussy. "Fuck off, Vinni..." mumbled even as he raised his hand and knocked his knuckles against the door.

He waited a few minutes, before hearing a several locks opening themselves from the inside. One lock. Three locks. Six locks. Finally, a large and seducing smile welcomed him, as Revana was visibly dressed in a large black tee-shirt, going over her like a dress. She didn't seemed to wear pants.

Her gaze posed on him, and her eyes lightened up. "Dear Luca, you've succeed ! Enter, I'll make something up for you. You like to drink something in particular ?" She grabbed his arm with her non manicured hand. He feel a little bit light-headed, as his anxiety vanished progressivly. And Vinni with it. Leading him inside, she turned to lock behind her the numerous locks and safety on her steel door. The inside was really comfy, a real witch place, with soft red lights and blue one there and there, placed behind books and veils to let a etheral and comfy atmosphere. In the center of the piece, a low table with what seemed to be numerous books, a crystal glass filled with blood, and a bottle of scotch on the side. There was also a dark nail polish bottle on it. Near the table, a big red sofa in tissue, with some cushions there and thre, but the most on the ground. And in front of the sofa, a enormous TV, with a monsterpile of DVD, and a disk reader. One the walls, books and red and bordeaux veils, as also numerous trinkets there and there. Rat crane, vial of blood, or misterious substances. A red curtain seemed to separate the central piece of the rest of the appartment.

"Lovely place, Revana. My apartment isn't half so large or well furnished. I used to be fond of bourbon, but I... seem to have lost my taste for it recently." He focuses his supernatural senses, trying to hear the thrum of Revana's heartbeat, if there was one to be heard.

She turned to him with a soft smile, showing him the sofa with her index. "I... personnaly just smell it and drink my blood at the same time. It does wonders." As she let out a soft chuckle, she posed her hand on his arm, before winking to him. "Thank you for the compliment." She passed through the room, before going beside the curtain. He was alone for now. "I'm getting this bottle for you, cupcake, and we shall get to your purpose here. Do you have any idea of what I'm going to ask you?" The scent in the room was filled with the odor of myrh and a bit of a metallic scent... Blood ? He could also smell a hint of alcohol and some flowery scent somewhere.

"I assumed you wanted something a bit more exotic than a cat for a pet." he half joked as he took his spot on the couch. He inhaled softly, but deeply, letting the scent of blood caress his mind, blessedly still of Vinni's influence for once... Vinni? Gone? He suddenly felt on edge. He did not often go quiet for positive reasons...

The voice laughed behind the veil of velour. "Cupcake, don't make a fool of yourself. Try to guess, I'm curious of your wits."

"Well... I'm guessing by the security on your door you feel unsafe for some reason. One deadbolt says security, six says you're planning on keeping someone out. You've asked a stranger for help through cryptic clues. The person you'd like kept out is someone you know, and the clues suggest either you're very, very bored, or you're worried someone will intercept your message to me. Am I close?"

The head of Revana bursted out of the curtain, looking at him with squinted eyes. "Choose a movie, and prepare yourself for a lot of comments." She got out of behind the curtain with a bowl of what seemed to be blood rocks, frozen coagulated blood in little drops forming... Pop-blood. She grinned to him, before jumping on the sofa, crushing him partly, and finally resting on a pillow at the other end, letting her feet on his lap. "Take the nail polish, and do them please." She designated the black nail polish, before grabbing a popblood between two fingers. "You'll get one as many time as you're a good pet."

He reached out his hand, taking the nail polish. He seemed unbothered by her request. It was a rare moment of quiet within his mind. He could be naked in the icy, calm waters of his mind-scape without Vinni's fire disrupting him. He took one of her feet in hand and began painting the nails, gently, meticulously.

"I don't watch many films, Revana..." he thought for a moment. "I've always meant to see Blade Runner?"

"You can do that cupcake." She looked at him, as she posed her feet on the lowtable, watching him getting up. The soothing impression continued, and it felt really nice. "For what you said earlier... I'm wary, often. I tend to have... A bit too much of anxiety, but don't worry about it."

Harrison Ford appeared on the screen, performing in the genre bending Sci-fi Noir classic. Luca went back to his work. "Anxious enough to put six locks on the door, but a stranger is painting your toe nails. What makes me different?"

"I don't really know... I feel calm with you around. I don't explain it really. Gary gave me a call. You want to have a mistress after all ?"

As she said that, she stretched backward. Luca could see that she was visibly just wearing black lace panties beneath her tee-shirt.

Luca glanced at them, but again, he was serine, almost monk-like without Vinni's influence. "Yes, I would like to enter into the service of a Kindred more established and knowledgeable about this new society I've been plunged into. Your brother, my sire, was less than forthcoming with information, and wanted seemingly very little to do with me. Which makes me wonder why he Embraced me in the first place."

She smiled, as she looked at the scene occuring during the film. A moment passed, and as soon as Luca finished her polish, she grabbed a popblood with the the tip of her right index's black nail, and put it in front of the mouth of Luca. "Well done, cupcake. You really know how to use those hands. I shall ask for your help once again one day." She smiled to him. How long was it since he just felt safe somewhere?

"Will that be all you need of your 'pet' for tonight?" *he asked, his tone a mix of mocking and friendly comfort.

Luca narrowed his eyes at the little red treat for a moment, but the scent of blood was too much for him to deny, and he opened his mouth, letting Revana put the popblood onto his tongue.

The popblood was a little shard of pleasure, satisfying his best, but yet letting him more and more wanting.

"It depends. I would not mind compagny for the rest of it, and I haven't delighted you with some of my comments on cyberpunk logic and origins. Plus, I could use a feet massage, since I'm obligated to have them in this position." She wiggled her toes, before laughing.

Luca nodded. Whatever was keeping Vinni quiet, he wanted, /needed/ more of it, and if Revana was the one doing this, he wanted to be near her. He wordlessly took her feet in hand and began to massage them. He was more than a little clumsy about it, having never done nor studied anything of the sort, but he did his best.

Revana spent several movies, talking geeky stuff about films, seemingly knowing too much for her own good about them. She soon stopped with the feet massage, but let them on him, more and more absorbed in the films.

Luca listened in near silence, only answering when asked a direct question, watching the films, letting her lay on him. after a while, he finally asked his own question. "We are of the same clan, yes? Malkavian? Why is it, that when I'm with you, I cannot hear my Other? My entire life, even before my embrace, he's been with me in one form or another, after, he became his own man living in my skin. And now he's quiet. Why?"

She grabbed a popblood and began to crush it. He could see her teeth as she licked it, and the blood began to taint her mouth in a reddish color. "I would say that you're living with too much emotions... And when the other is here, I can make you more... Yourself. Calm you, and thus, get him out of your system. But truelly, don't you like it ?"

She smiled at him, before opening up her arms, in a proposal of a hug.

He was reluctant, but gave in after a short moment of hesitation, leaning into the Embrace with her.

She hugged him softly, pressing him against her, as she rested her chin in his shoulder. "Feel free to come anytime. It is nice to find peace in this world of darkness."

Luca stood, preparing to leave. "There are more stories that need telling than just this one. I will be back, though. I promise." He took a moment, cupping her cheek in his hand, then opened the door and made his way out into the night.

[Luca, fresh from his adventures in in the Warrens, finds himself following a few cryptic clues left behind by his Sire's sister, Revana. Following the clues to her door, he spends most of the night with her watching movies, his Other, Vinni, curiously absent. The dawn approaching, Luca leaves Revana and heads out into the city.]
